Homemade Soap Recipes (With No Lye)
It’s -30 degrees outside all week and I can’t think of a better way to spend my day. Making soap!
I enjoy making beauty products, especially when it’s too cold to take the girls outside to play. And I hate the cold weather. Ask my fiance, he’ll tell you how many blankets I have in the house.
Today I want to share with you soap recipes that do not contain any lye. Reason being, is because lye has a somewhat toxic smell and you don’t want to be in the house while it’s melting. Let alone your children and pets.
Ready for some awesome, soapy recipes? Here they are!
- Lavender Oatmeal Soap
- Cranberry Vanilla Shea Butter
- Minty Poppy Seed
- Coconut Shea Butter
- Lavender Lemon
- Apple Pie
- Oatmeal Honey – COMING SOON
- Coffee Scrub
- Pumpkin Spice
- Cinnamon Hazelnut Coffee
- Peaches and Cream
- Spiced Apple
- Orange Creamsicle
- Cranberry Orange
My favorite scents are lemon and pumpkin spice, especially during the fall months. I can’t get enough of homemade soap! I mean, I wash my hands enough between my new found love for baking and changing poopy diapers. Or wiping toddler butts.
